1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using QuickWords AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and PappsLabs ("we", "us", or "our"), the developer of QuickWords AI.

2. Description of the Service

QuickWords AI is a language learning application that uses artificial intelligence to generate flashcards, translations, example sentences, and voice pronunciations. The App helps users study vocabulary through AI-generated content and spaced repetition.

Without a subscription, you may study previously generated flashcards using their definitions. All AI-powered features — including flashcard generation, translated flashcards, example sentences, and voice pronunciation — require an active subscription.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

The App offers two subscription plans:

Monthly — Billed monthly through the Apple App Store.
Annual — Billed annually through the Apple App Store.

Subscriptions are managed entirely through your Apple ID and the App Store. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store settings.

4. Refunds

All purchases and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not process payments or issue refunds directly. To request a refund, contact Apple Store Support.

5. AI-Generated Content

All flashcards, translations, example sentences, and voice pronunciations in the App are generated by artificial intelligence (Google Gemini / Vertex AI). While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate output.

You acknowledge that:

AI-generated content is provided as-is and should not be relied upon as a sole source of truth for language learning.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content.
We are not responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on AI-generated content.

6. Content Ownership & Restrictions

The App, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of PappsLabs. AI-generated flashcard content is created for your personal, non-commercial use within the App.

You may not:

Copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit content generated by the App.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its server infrastructure.
Use the App in any way that interferes with its operation or other users' access.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You may not use the App to:

Generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
Attempt to bypass subscription requirements or abuse the AI features.
Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers, APIs, or security measures.
Automate access to the App or its services through bots, scripts, or other automated means.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if we determine that you have engaged in unlawful behavior or violated these Terms. Upon termination, your access to AI features and server-side services will be revoked.

Your on-device data (stored locally) will not be affected by account termination, but you will no longer be able to generate new content or access subscription features.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep the App and its services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PappsLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
Loss of data stored on your device.
Interruption or unavailability of the service.
Unauthorized access to your account.

The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you also retain the protections granted by the mandatory provisions of the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
